HMTA 2025 Member/Student Side-by-Side Chamber Recital

  • Castle Building, Room 101, ʻIolani School 563 Kamoku St Honolulu, HI, 96826 United States (map)

HMTA invites members and student-formed chamber groups to perform in an inspiring and fun recital setting. The goal of this event is to provide intermediate to advanced students the opportunity to perform chamber music alongside their teachers, mentors, or other HMTA members.

  • All instrumentation is welcome to register. If you are a teacher or student able to prepare a movement for a trio, quartet, or quintet, we encourage you to register for this program.

  • Please indicate in the registration form if you already have collaborators and/or pieces to perform.

  • If you do not have collaborators, we may assign you to an ensemble. Each ensemble will coordinate their own rehearsals.

  • This program is geared toward intermediate or advanced high school or college students, as well as HMTA teachers and members.

  • At least one member of each ensemble must be an HMTA teacher, mentor, or member.

  • Each ensemble will be allotted 8 minutes of performance time.

A reception with light snacks and drinks, provided by HMTA, will follow the concert. While we strive to accommodate every registrant, participation in this event is not guaranteed.

This event will take place on the afternoon of Saturday, May 3 (exact time TBD) at the Castle Building, Room 101, on the ʻIolani School campus. Please stay tuned to HMTA.org for further details. For any questions, please contact Sophia Park at sophiapark@hmta.org.
