World-renowned clarinetist and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center artist, David Shifrin, will teach clarinet and woodwind quintet students from the University of Hawaii and the Hawaii Youth Symphony programs. Co-presented with the Hawaii Youth Symphony and University of Hawaii with additional support from Backun Musical.
This workshop is an exploration and open reading of Terry Riley’s “In C,” a series of 53 musical fragments that launched the minimalist movement in music. FREE and open to all, including non-members, students and amateur musicians. Register online to receive music in advance. Co-presented with the Hawaii Flute Society.
